Will my pet be in his/her travel crate during the flight?
Before we go into the depths of answering this one, please be mindful that this is subject to the size, breed and type of pet that you’re bringing along.
When traveling with a cat or dog, it is often recommended to secure them with a harness for their own safety however having said this, your pet is traveling in absolute luxury so they do get the option of being in a crate or not while traveling in the main cabin with you. Now in the case of an aquatic or exotic pet, providers usually deal with it on a case by case basis. You might also be recommended to opt for a larger plane in case your pet is a large breed of dog to avoid claustrophobia or a cramped space which can result to being quite problematic/stressful for your pet.
We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again, please make sure that your pet is healthy and hydrated through and through and days before the expected travel date. If your pet displays any signs of sickness, please visit the vet immediately. Don’t forget to carry a water bowl, their bedding and comfort items along. A treat or two wouldn’t hurt too. In case you have forgotten to bring food and water or don’t want the hassle of lugging a full suitcase around, address it to the flight staff or in-flight cabin crew and they handle it for you. A few measures of planning ahead, either by yourself or delegating the hassle to the staff, or us will ensure your pet’s journey is a breeze.
