What are the vaccination requirements?
Onboarding a professional pet-relocation company equals having an expert to oversee your pet’s travels while ensuring he/she receives the highest care. Every pet entering the U.A.E. requires to come in with their updated vaccination card. In line with the regulatory framework, all of the traveling pets are required to have a detailed vaccination card that specifies all of your pet details comprising of name, specie, breed, date of birth, gender and details of any distinguished markings on them.
Additionally, the card should also state your pet’s microchip number and the insertion date. It’s also a mandate for this document to list your pet’s current vaccinations detailing the vaccine manufacturer(s), batch number and expiry details in addition to the dates that the vaccines were administered along with the next dose date.
It is critical to note that all dogs entering the U.A.E. should be vaccinated against rabies, distemper, canine hepatitis, leptospirosis (canicola and icterohaemorrhagiae) and parvovirus, while cats should be vaccinated against rabies, feline rhinotracheitis, calicivirus and panleukopnia.
In addition to this, a deworming treatment (Anthelmintic) using Praziquantel and an anti-external parasites treatment using Permethrin or Fipronil is a mandate too.
According to the MOCCAE, pets traveling from the following countries are exempt from the Rabies Serum Neutralization Test (RSNT):
