At what point will my pet be loaded into the flight?
Firstly, it is important to understand that pet travel is safe with thousands of pets traveling every year. Secondly, all of the travels are in line with best global practices, international standards and 100% ethical.
Should your pet be traveling as manifest cargo, they travel underneath the plane in a space that is temperature controlled, pressurized and oxygenated. As standard procedure, the pilot flying the plane must sign off on a manifest to attest their confirmation on being aware of pets being onboard.
Moreover, in line with international practices, all of the traveling pets are the last ones loaded into a flight and the first ones to be taken out up on landing. In the manifest cargo, your pet’s travel kennel will be secured by placing a thin net that acts like a seatbelt to keep them stationed, still and safe during landing and take-off.
In the case of a significant delay in departure, your pet will be taken back to the animal holding room by a trained and expert handler until the delay has been resolved. Upon confirmation of the departure, your pet is then taken back into the flight.
